DeenTime Privacy & Data
DeenTime is designed as a local-first Progressive Web App. The application does not require an account and does not include product analytics or advertising tracking.
Data stored on your device
DeenTime stores application settings in your browser's local storage. This includes calculation preferences, timezone, coordinates, theme, notification preference, and Tasbih state.
Location
Location access is requested only after you activate Detect My Location. Coordinates are used in the browser to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction. DeenTime does not send your coordinates to a reverse-geocoding service.
You can also enter coordinates and an IANA timezone manually. Those values stay in local browser storage.
Notifications and device sensors
Browser notification permission is optional. Device compass access is also optional and is requested only when you enable the device compass feature. These permissions are controlled by your browser and operating system.
Network requests
The app is served from its production host and currently references Tailwind CSS and Font Awesome resources from public CDNs. Normal web requests to those services can include standard network metadata such as your IP address. DeenTime does not use those services as a product analytics system.
Offline storage
DeenTime uses a service worker to cache the application shell and resources so the app can continue working after a successful online visit. Cached data is held by your browser and follows that browser's storage controls.
Deleting local data
Use Reset Local Settings inside DeenTime to remove the application's saved settings and Tasbih state. You can also clear site data through your browser's storage controls.
Changes
This page may be updated when DeenTime's data practices change. The date at the top indicates the latest revision.
